Going Film CrazyThis is a featured page

20th Century Fox, Lions Gate, MTV Networks, Paramount, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, and MGM are jumping on board to start a subscription service peer - peer site where you can download/rent movies for $2 - $4; BiTorrentFlicks. A little late on the peer - peer movie downloads if you asked me.

Apple is soon to release yet another hardware device that allows for streaming content from computers to your tv; AppleTV. Seems like this technology has been around for a while, but I'm sure Apple will make a killing on it. Anyway, there seems to be a lot of potential here for the the peer - peer service and Apple's hardware to team up and take the market.

On a side note, either these companies are making a last ditch effort to salvage some of the losses they have been taking from illegal downloading or it is possible, at least in Apple's case, that they don't want to be too ahead of their time in releasing products that would fly over people's heads. Broadcasting a stream from your computer to tv seems like fairly basic stuff, but people may like a little gadget, from Apple, that makes an already easy task stupid proof.
