I found an article that breaks down specific features which a web 2.0 will need to compete in the market; some features like QEDwiki (quick and easily done wiki) - allows users to build a more technical web space and blend company data with outside services. Other, less innovative features, like tagging tools have been around for a while now. The kind of direction Disney is taking in its revamp seems like it is a more temporary fixture considering those kids will grow up and no longer want "restrictions" on their profiles and are likely to switch to Facebook; however, the IBM model shows potential in similar ways that linkedin did/does. I predict that in a matter of time, if not already, there will be so many networking communities, that the site of choice will not be the most progressive, but rather the most addictive. Linkedin shows massive future potential having the feature of building reputation that is not in terms of numbers like myspace and facebook, but in terms of rank and quality. To me this is just a refinement of the old model for a bottom up community and does not really implement a "new" 2.0 idea that has not been seen.
