Integrating FeedbackThis is a featured page

This week we discussed the Community Next Conference. Held at Stanford University, the gathering featured some of the foremost innovators in the field of online communities. There was much to talk about. The next day Charles Hudson had some particularly interesting things to say in his blog. He advised those starting an online community to listen to the community members you are serving and value their impute. I believe that allowing mechanism to both solicit and apply feedback from users can be very beneficial to the overall development of your site. Don’t get me wrong, not all feedback must be integrated; however, by democratizing the site you create a more engaging and user-friendly experience. An example of thisIntegrating Feedback - annenberg online Communities type of philosophy is what is now going on with Digg. Recently, users have begun calling for the creation of a special section of the site designated for photographs and pictures. Will Digg give the people what they want? My guess is that it will. Digg has listened to its users in the past and I see no reason why this would be any different.
