After reading Aaron's blog I got interested in candidates employment of online media. Yesterday I stumbled upon a great site called TechPresident. This project tracks and aggregates information about all the US Presidential candidates’ use of online social media. Although the site leans to the left, it is still fascinating to see how candidates are using the Internet for self-promotion.Online media give a candidate yet another avenue to engage potential supporters and voters, and it does so for an incredibly low price tag If you’re interested in viewing a compiled version of the Presidential Candidates’ videos on YouTube visit techcruch and scroll down until you find the miniclip. TechPresident also contain a bar graph that compares how many Myspace friends each candidate has, posts a number of informative blogs and has a Flickr feed. I am curious, what role do you think the internet will play in future Presidential races? Will web 2.0 technology act as a catalyst for voter turnout?
