I like the idea of regaining grassroots through Web 2.0 (or just through ICT efforts in general), but I'm curious as to whether this will actually be effective at getting citizens to the polls. What do you think? Are politicians reaching out to non-voters by bringing their campaigns online? As we all remember, the hype of 'Rock the Vote' had the best of intentions, but it was not effective at getting young people to the polls. In some ways it seems like we have the cart in front of the horse: the politics are online, but voting is not. Do you find this valuable?
